SPECIAL SCREENING FOR PARENTS: CHASING THE DRAGON: RAISING AWARENESS OF OPIOID ADDICTION – WEDNESDAY, MAY 10TH AT 10:30AM (AFTER THE H&S MEETING)
News headlines across the state, and in neighboring schools districts to ours, have made it clear that opioid addiction in New Jersey is a rising epidemic. This is a problem being seen in every socio-demographic group…and most frighteningly, it can often start with pain medicine being given for a sports injury.

Education about this issue starts at home, and we would like to give parents the opportunity to join us for a special screening of “Chasing the Dragon” – a ground breaking documentary released by the FBI and DEA aimed at educating parents and young adults about the dangers of opioid addiction.

The movie will be shown in the Media Center after the May 10th Home & School meeting. Seats are limited so please RSVP to Marion Mourey. Home & School will be supplying refreshments for the event. For more information on the movie, see the link below. https://leb.fbi.gov/2016/february/chasing-the-dragon-raising-awareness-of-opioid-addiction
