DISTRICT MEMBERSHIP CO-CHAIR NEEDED!!  We are looking for a District Membership Co-Chair. Works with Membership Chair, Responsible for distribution of the Calendars to the schools and for collating and distribution of the directory. Works with Chairs at the schools. The vast majority of the job is during the beginning of the year. If you are interested please contact Elaine Parellada at ejrparellada@gmail.com.

H&S Scholarship Recipients


Home & School recently awarded seven scholarships at the Senior Recognition Awards Night which was held on Tuesday, June 13, 2017.     The Moorestown Home & School Association encourages Moorestown High School graduating seniors to obtain advanced training by providing the following scholarships:

Clark Bucko Scholarship:  The scholarship was initiative in 2001 byDr. Richard Bucko who was the principal of Baker School for 22 years. It is named for his son and is designed to reward a student who has demonstrated a love of literature.

Recipient:            Caitlyn Maines –  University of Vermont

Anne Yarrington Scholarship:   This scholarship was initiated to reward a student planning to pursue a career in the field of education.  It is awarded to honor Ms. Anne Yarrington who began her teaching career in 1925 and taught for 42 years in the Moorestown School system.   She retired as principal of Roberts School in 1967.

Recipient:            Shari Goldberg – The College of New Jersey

Jean Solow Scholarship:   Joan Solow was a devoted parent, Home & School Chairperson and Board of Education member.   This scholarship was initiated to reward a student who has excelled in the field of fine arts.   The scholarship is also supported by the Solow family.

Recipient:            Samantha Goldberg –  Berklee College of Music

Overall Achievement Award:  These four scholarship reward students who have exhibited overall excellence in the areas of academics, community service and extracurricular activities.

Briana Mateo – University of Delaware
Amanda Wichterman – University of Florida
Alexandra Bewley – St. Joe’s University

The Live Civilly/Moorestown Ministerium Food Pantry (LCMMFP) is a confidential, welcoming resource for anyone seeking food assistance.  The LCMMFP is open the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month from 12:00-2:00 PM and 5:00-7:00 PM and is located at the St. Matthew Lutheran Church at 318 Chester Avenue.  For information contact Live Civilly at contact@livecivilly.org or 856-313-9853.
