MEET THE BOARD OF EDUCATION CANDIDATES!
On Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at 7:30 pm, Home & School will sponsor a Meet the Candidates for the Moorestown Board of Education election in November. This event is facilitated by the League of Women Voters and will be held in the William Allen Middle School Media Center. There are currently 4 seats on the Board of Education that will be open in January and there are 6 candidates running. This event provides a valuable opportunity for the residents of Moorestown to learn more about the Board of Education candidates and their positions on issues of importance to the school community. The candidates will be taking questions from the audience as well so please join us for this informative and important event. SCIENCE FAIR CHAIRPERSON NEEDED
The PACE sponsored Science Fair is a fun, non-competitive event targeting the district’s K-5 population and will be held on the evening of April 11, 2018 at 6:30 in the UES cafeteria. Volunteers are needed to organize and run the Science Fair, including advertisement, registration, set-up, and management of the evening. UES BOOK FAIR – VOLUNTEERS & DONATIONS NEEDED
Yee Haw! The Wild West Book Fair is coming October 16th – 20th! There are many opportunities to volunteer and donate items to make it a success. Sign up here UES Fall Book Fair – Volunteers… to help with decorations, set up, break down, donations and everything in between! Family Book Fair Night is Thursday, October 19th from 5:00 – 8:00pm. The fair is open during school hours the rest of the week (M-Th 8:00am to 3:00pm; F 8:00am to noon). Contact Deb Rockell for more info.
HOME & SCHOOL EVENING MEETING – OCTOBER 18, 9:30 AM
Please join us at the next Home & School Meeting at the cafeteria. This is changed from the school calendar due to a scheduling conflict. We will have a night meeting later in the year.
ROBERTS H&S MEETING THIS THURSDAY

HALLOWEEN PARADE AND COFFEE
Come out to see your kids and their classmates march around the bus loop in front of the school for our annual Halloween Parade! Kids should come to school dressed in costume. The parade starts at 10am but parents are encouraged to come early for parking and for coffee and donuts at the red tent! Here is the signup genius for this event. SPEAC – NEXT MONTHLY MEETING THURSDAY, OCTOBER 19TH @ 6:30PM
Please join us on Thursday Oct 19th for an EVENING meeting at the Moorestown Community House (Boardroom). Moorestown Special Education Advocacy Council (SpEAC) is a parent run organization that provides a forum for parents to discuss important challenges facing our children in the schools and community. We collaborate with administration and teachers to improve programs, and promote an atmosphere of open communication, understanding and mutual respect among students, parents and the community.
