OTIS SPUNKMEYER FUNDRAISER  FEBRUARY 6 – MARCH 3
Don’t miss out! Send in your Otis Order Today! Lots of great treats to choose from: Otis Cookies, Auntie Anne’s Pretzels, Cinnabon Bites, Specialty Cakes, Breads, Soups, Pizza’s and more! Please share with family, friends, and coworkers! A catalog already came home with your child or look at the catalog on the website. Orders due no later than March 3. Return the white & yellow order forms with checks payable to Moorestown H&S. Delivery in March. If a high school parent needs a catalog or if you have questions, please contact Helen Dominy.

WAMS STEM EVENT – SPEAKERS NEEDED
The WAMS STEM Event is taking place on March 24th from 8am-10am – but we need speakers!! If you work in a STEM related field, and can give up 2 hours of your time, please raise your hand! This is your chance to get involved, have some fun, and inspire the Steve Jobs of the next generation.  We can help you with examples of presentations from last year, and this event can only happen if we get parent volunteers to speak (you don’t need to have a kid in WAMS to take part). MHS NEWS

MHS HOME & SCHOOL MEETING – WEDNESDAY, MARCH 8TH AT 9:30AM
We will not be having an evening meeting this month due to scheduling conflicts. Topics: Have a younger classman and curious about how to help defray the cost of the senior trip?  Come learn about the SCRIPT program.  Next steps to the Mike Smith presentations to the school. College planning series – don’t miss the March opportunities to learn!

 

WAMS NEWS

WAMS HOME & SCHOOL MEETING – MARCH 3, 9:30AM
Don’t miss the next WAMS H&S meeting on March 3 at 9:30 am in the WAMS Media center.  Mr. Seibel, the MHS Principal, and Mrs. D’Ambra, MHS Head of Guidance, will be there to speak with us and answer questions about the high school experience that many of our students will be experiencing next year. They will specifically address issues and questions regarding the Program of Studies night scheduled for March 7th.  Additionally, Carin Troy, the current H&S Chair for MHS, and Kate Wilson, next year’s MHS H&S Chair will be attendance.

 

UES NEWS

6TH GRADE WINTER BEACH PARTY, 2/24 – RSVP REQUIRED
On Feb. 24th 3-4:30pm all 6th graders are invited to stay after school for a fun-filled afternoon with a DJ, indoor gaga pit, games, prizes, and snacks. LIVE CIVILLY COMMUNITY SERVICE CLUB
Live Civilly is pleased to announce the Spring 2017 session of the Live Civilly Community Service Club at the UES, Mondays, March 6-April 10.  For all students in grades 4-6.  Visit Live Civilly and click on the Community Service Club sign up for more details or to register.

 

BAKER NEWS

BOX TOPS CHALLENGE HAS BEGUN
The Baker Bears are having a contest to see which classroom can collect the most Box Tops for the months of February and March. Mrs. Rowe will serve as a guest teacher for the class that collects the most box tops.

RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE
For over 25 years, Baker has participated in the Kids for Kids program with the Ronald McDonald House of Southern New Jersey.  This year, collections will be accepted from February 6th- February 21st in the Baker lobby.  Any questions please contact Karinhopke@hotmail.com

 

ROBERTS NEWS

H&S MEETING
Please join us this Thursday the 23rd at 9:30 in the media center for our Home & School meeting!!! Come hear about what is going on in the district and all the fun things we have going at Roberts in the coming months! Coffee and donuts will be served and small children are always welcome!  Hope to see you there!

ART GOES TO SCHOOL
Art Goes to School spring music meeting Wednesday, February 22cd at 9 a.m. in the Robert’s music room. Mrs. Dishong will go over all the music and related activities for the spring portion of Art Goes to School. Please contact Michele Orr  with any questions.

AUTHOR DAY
Roberts welcomes author/illustrator Barbara McClintock on Thursday, March 9. (Learn more about her on the media center’s homepage.) If you would like to purchase a book (at a discount) for Ms. McClintock to autograph for your child, please submit this form by February 22. 

SCIENCE DAY
Don’t miss this opportunity to volunteer for this fun and interesting day: Thursday March 23rd…. Anyone who wants to volunteer (“no scientific experience required”) can contact Jaclyn Barnes or Stephani Greenleaf for more details and volunteering opportunities!

LIVE CIVILLY MARCH MADNESS TOURNAMENT
Live Civilly is pleased to announce its 3rd Annual March Madness Tournament of Giving on Saturday, March 18.  This tournament is a fun, 3v3 for all basketball skill levels grades 3-12, plus an adult bracket!  Love to play ball?  Love to help your community?  Register today at www.livecivilly.org.  Registration closes March 6.

FOOD PANTRY
The Live Civilly/Moorestown Ministerium Food Pantry (LCMMFP) is a confidential, welcoming resource for anyone seeking food assistance.  The LCMMFP is open the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month from 12:00-2:00 PM and 5:00-7:00 PM and is located at the St. Matthew Lutheran Church at 318 Chester Avenue.  For information contact Live Civilly at contact@livecivilly.org or 856-313-9853.
