Soup for the Soul

As you may know, Soup for the Soul is one of the Moorestown High School’s largest fundraising events which benefits Philabundance, the largest hunger relief organization in the Delaware Valley. Normally, we sell tickets to a soup and bread lunch, with food donated from local restaurants, a raffle, and live entertainment.

However, due to COVID-19, we have decided to change our event. In order to still benefit Philabundance and the families that rely on their assistance, we are selling a cookbook filled with Moorestown’s favorite recipes (online and physical copies).

*Details on how to purchase the book will be available soon.

We are collecting recipes from Moorestown residents and restaurants, and would greatly appreciate it if you could become a part of this effort by submitting your favorite recipe (i.e. soup, bread, dessert, etc.) via this form: tinyurl.com/SoupRecipes2021.

Despite the changes, we hope that you will choose to help us hold our most successful fundraising effort this year!

Sincerely, The Moorestown Interact Club’s Soup for the Soul Committee,

Christian Tsai, Grace Tsai, Sofia Della Rosa, Viraj Pentapalli, Stephanie Shawaryn, Keyan Vojdani, Erica Zhang, David McGeorge, and Mr. Hurley

Gift Card Collection

As a thank you to all of the teachers and staff at Roberts School for everything they’ve done this year, we would like to collect $5 gift cards from anywhere you’d like (ex. Wawa, Starbucks, Passariello’s) and we will create a “Just Because” gift for Valentine’s Day so that each teacher or staff member will receive something.

Please drop off gift cards to Meg Zonies at 125 Somers Court South by Monday, February 8th.  Feel free to donate as many as you’d like.  Any little bit helps!  Thank you!

Food For All

Thank you to everyone who so generously donated during our December collection of “Food for All” items! The food pantry workers were extremely appreciative!

For our January collection, we are asking students to bring in items on Wednesday, January 20th and Thursday, January 21st. As always, there will also be a collection bin outside the main entrance to drop off donation items.

The food pantry is always very appreciative of any donations, but in particular need right now are toiletry items (toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant), pasta sauce, canned chunky soups, canned meats and tuna, pancake mix, oatmeal, children’s drinks, and condiments.

Fly Your American Flag for Country, Community & Unity

Our flag is symbolic of the ideals and aspirations of our great nation, a nation that today feels very divided.  Let’s encourage patriotic unity by proudly decorating Moorestown with American flags, starting today!

Unite our community and honor our country, our veterans, our front-line workers, our fellow citizens and our democracy through this simple gesture of patriotism.  Country, Community, Unity.

To plug one of our favorite community stores, you can buy your American flag at Moorestown Hardware.  They have many in stock and will help you choose the right one.
